Dubai Customs updates its IP telephony system using Avaya smart telecommunication solutions

Dubai Customs announced that it is in the process of updating its telecommunication systems using the newest smart telecommunication solutions provided by Avaya Aura which operates in the field of IP technology. The step aims to enrich the interaction with the public and further develop employees’ productivity taking into account the highly advanced competencies these solutions offer.
The solutions are capable of deploying over 36 thousand internal extensions and handling multiple internal and external calls. They also provide a central telecommunication platform which connects all Dubai Customs offices across Dubai in a way reducing costs and facilitating their administering.
Mr. Mansoor Bu Asiaba, Manager of Admin Affairs at Dubai Customs confirmed that shifting to the new system was essential due to the accelerating technological development, constant growth of the cadre at the Department and the increase of clients’ numbers who wish to receive quick and sufficient answers to their enquiries.
Mr. Bu Asaiba added:" Through these pioneering solutions, we managed to further develop customer service through delivering a unified telecommunication phonebook which facilitates the response process on the different enquiries from the first call. Employees’ productivity multiplied consequently since they can be reached easily now on their extensions, adding to that the great cost saving we will accomplish due to these solutions”.
It is worth noting that Avaya’s solutions were deployed after careful examination of Dubai Customs telecommunication infrastructure plus these solutions are easily deployed and linked whenever needed in the future.
