In line with the government’s approach to fostering integration between federal and local entities, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, held a high-level meeting with His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) attended by senior leaders and experts from both sides.
The meeting focused on strengthening institutional partnerships, enhancing information-sharing mechanisms, and exploring opportunities to unify procedures to boost the efficiency of customs and tax operations. Both parties also discussed future joint initiatives aimed at supporting the UAE’s competitiveness and establishing an advanced system capable of anticipating the needs of tomorrow.
His Excellency Dr. Busenad highlighted that cooperation with the Federal Tax Authority represents a national model of government role integration. He emphasized that this coordination will improve information flow and develop more flexible, effective procedures, contributing to a business-friendly environment and enabling the UAE to maintain its leadership in facilitating global trade.
For his part, His Excellency Khaled Al Bustani expressed the Authority’s commitment to working closely with Dubai Customs to consolidate efforts and enhance the efficiency of the tax and customs framework. He affirmed that digital linkage and information integration between the two entities will enable faster, more accurate services and elevate operational capabilities through innovative approaches.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties renewed their commitment to ongoing collaboration, developing initiatives that reinforce institutional integration and support the UAE government’s objectives of facilitating business in an efficient, flexible manner, fully aligned with the requirements of the future.
