H.E. Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, received in his office at Dubai Customs’ main building H.E. Moon Byung-Jun, the Consul General of the Republic of South Korea, who came to greet and congratulate him on his new appointment as the Director General of Dubai Customs. During the meeting, ways to enhance mutual customs cooperation, exchange expertise, and discuss mechanisms for coordinating customs work to boost trade levels between Dubai and South Korea were discussed, aiming for further growth and prosperity.

Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Busenad stated: “In Dubai Customs, we prioritize bolstering our relationships with Dubai's commercial partners to ensure they receive top-tier customs services. These facilitations are designed to deliver tangible benefits to their respective business sectors, thereby boosting their returns and positioning Dubai as their preferred trade destination. This endeavor aligns with our commitment to supporting economic growth in the Emirate by diversifying economic activities, fostering sustainable growth, and augmenting the value of Dubai's foreign trade, in accordance with the objectives outlined in Dubai's economic agenda D33. Therefore, we are keen on exchanging visits with commercial partners and being fully aware of their requirements to develop our customs work in line with these requirements, supporting Dubai's leading position in global trade."

Dr. Busenad underscores Dubai Customs' dedication to direct dialogue with Korean enterprises, ensuring alignment with their evolving requirements and fostering collaborative development. Through initiatives like 'Ertibat', Dubai Customs actively interacts with the companies and foreign business councils, fortifying connections with them. 

On his part, the Consul General of the Republic of South Korea expressed his pleasure with this meeting, commending Dubai Customs' cooperation and efforts in supporting the economy and keeping pace with the continuous increase in tourism rates, the number of travelers, and the growth of Dubai's foreign trade with the world. He noted that the development of Dubai Customs in several services, initiatives, and smart services has directly contributed to enhancing commercial operations and facilitated and accelerated legitimate trade.
