Dubai Customs broadcasts Jimruq(2) on Al Oula Radio

Celebrating the National Day and the UAE Golden Jubilee, and following on the success that Jimruq (Customs) Program achieved in its first version, Dubai Customs, in cooperation with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, launched the second version. It will be aired on 107.4 FM by Al Oula (first) Radio in the local dialect on Sundays from 4pm to 5pm. 

The program hosts a number of Dubai Customs’ strategic partners.




Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication Department introduced and presented the program, which focuses on Dubai Customs efforts and strategic plans in support of Dubai and the UAE’s sustainable development. The program also includes episodes dedicated to coordination efforts with strategic partners to develop trade and secure the borders. 

“The success of the first version urged us to launch the second version of the program,” said bin Gharib. “It aims to highlight the national achievements and celebrate performance inspired by the teachings and directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The program also includes new messages on the future and the national preparations for the next 50 years.”

The second version of Jimruq Program consists of 12 episodes, and 12 guests are hosted in the episodes to give insight on different customs related topics and Dubai Customs’ distinctive initiatives, which helped the government department to play an outstanding role in facilitating global trade and supply chains. 

Dubai Customs stands firmly behind the national success towards the achievement of the requirements of the UAE Centennial Plan 2071. 

Bin Gharib and the guests will talk about the disruptive initiatives that advance customs. The program raises awareness among different society segments around the role Dubai Customs plays in facilitating trade and passenger traffic, and protecting society from the hazards of illegitimate trade.

Guests include a number of directors, and heads of customs departments and centers in Dubai Customs, as well as some government officials.

Episodes highlight the efforts taken for customs training and developing inspection techniques and skills to thwart different smuggling attempts using the latest technologies.



On his part, Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, CEO of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center said; “This program is important as it enlightens the public with the roles government departments play. It is important we raise awareness around the services government departments provide and the nature of their work, especially what is related to safety and protecting society from the hazards of counterfeiting and illicit trade.”
