Director General of Dubai Customs tours 3 customs centers to ensure best services delivered
Musabih: Client happiness is a priority
During his unannounced inspection tour of three customs centers, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs said the Department places client happiness on top of its priorities following the wise directives and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Musabih toured Rashid Port Customs Center, Dry Ports and Textiles Customs Center and Jebel Ali & TECOM Customs Center. He directed frontline officers to keep up the hard work to consolidate professional performance and corporate reputation of Dubai Customs.
“Dubai Customs sustainably updates and develops their systems and customs procedures to ensure best smart services are delivered to clients in line with the highest international standards within the efforts of becoming the leading customs administration worldwide supporting legitimate trade,” said Musabih. “Our efforts in digital transformation were successful. More than 99% of our customs transactions were carried out through smart and electronic channels in the first half of this year. This means 11.16m out of 11.2m transactions were done online.”
Dubai Customs’ Client Happiness Department has organized a number of virtual meetings with the clients to engage them in the updating of the new Client Happiness Charter in line with the ISO 10001:2018 standard. Their suggestions and requirements were taken into account and added to the new charter.
