March 03, 2020

The initiatives and activities launched by Dubai Customs during the UAE Innovation month received much attention and recognition from different parties.
The First Innovation Forum, organized by Dubai Customs in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, saw the active participation of 1,000 people, with more than 30 speakers and 50 experts and decision makers on board.

On the closing day of the Forum, Dubai Customs honored its creative employees for their innovations and ideas.

The forum aimed to provide a periodic platform for innovators and inventors from inside and outside the country to interact with the relevant authorities from research centers, business incubators and private sector companies.

An open day was organized for the employees to visit Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai, and a joint-event with vendors and suppliers was launched to raise public awareness around the importance of innovation and its role in fostering the UAE’s global footing.
A number of new initiatives were launched including the “Ceaseless Printer” in cooperation with HP, and a sensory suit in cooperation with Vrmada.

Dubai Customs organized a ceremony to award winners of the 3rd Innovator Award with the presence of Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General, heads of departments and employees.
During the month, Dubai Customs showcased the robot Dubot to clients and employees.
