Dubai Customs showcases its experiment in “Women for Sustainable Growth” Conference

Reception Party hosted by Queen of Sweden for female participants

Dubai Customs took part in“ Women for Sustainable Growth” Conference which has been held in the Swedish capital Stockholm recently. Queen Victoria, Queen of Sweden, received the visiting delegates in the Royal Palace in Stockholm, and she commended the female competencies and women’s role in supporting sustainability in all fields and walks of life.
Dr. Huda Sulaiman Al Jasim, senior performance expert at HR Department and Dubai Customs’ envoy to the conference briefed the audience with the history of Dubai Customs, the achieved results and regulations and rules. Her presentation took place during the reception party that was co-hosted by the UAE Embassy , Lond University, and WSG Organization.

Al Jasim also talked about the awards that Dubai Customs attained, as well as the innovative ideas implemented in the department according to Sustainability Report 2008, and 2009. Dubai Customs has been selected by the organizers of the conference to participate as one of the leading government departments in implementing the best practices, supporting woman leaderships, and excellent and award-winning social partnership projects.

During the conference, seven international establishments were highlighted through dedicated seminar entitled “Spotlight”. Those included Dubai Customs, Masdar city in Abu Dhabi, Tawasul Company in Oman, and other foreign companies and educational establishments including Yale University
