Under the theme “Innovation for a sustainable development”, the Ports Customs & Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) takes part in Gitex Technology Week 2017 which kicks off today and lasts till 12th October. PCFC will introduce 18 new initiatives and smart innovations to the visitors of its stand S2-A21 and S3-A21 within Dubai Smart Government pavilion at Sheikh Saeed Hall, Dubai World Trade Center.
Representatives of entities under PCFC will explain and brief the visitors with these new innovations that are meant to facilitate procedures and services. These entities are DP World and JAFZA, Dubai Customs, Dubai Trade, Dubai Maritime City Authority and Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees. The theme PCFC selected for this year (Innovation for a sustainable development) reflects its vision of making innovation a daily routine and a lifestyle which will lead to sustainable growth in line with the wise vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
The PCFC’s new projects and initiatives include smart applications in fulfilment of 10X initiative which sees Dubai 10 years ahead of other countries.
InnoGate is one of the leading innovations that DP World and JAFZA will share with the world. It is a global innovation platform and a sophisticated online employee idea sharing system which connects 78 terminals.
Trakhees will have a number of innovations including the Smart Brochure; a smart augmented reality based mobile app which provides information about Trakhees to visitors at any place.
