Dubai Customs distributes 1,000 Iftar snacks as part of “Al Furdah Hands Campaign”

June 06, 2017

As part of its CSR commitments and following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to turn 2017 into a year of giving, Dubai Customs launched its Ramadan “Al Furdah Hands Campaign”. The campaign is organized by Dubai Customs’ CSR Section in cooperation with Ghayyath Volunteer team. Members of the team are taking to the streets around sunset time on Saturdays during Ramadan to distribute Iftar snacks to the motorists.

The campaign will see the volunteers distribute 1,000 Iftar snacks in cooperation with Dubai Police, DP World, Mai Dubai, and Al Barari Group. Volunteers will be accompanied by their children, which will help instil the culture of giving amongst them and teach them the value of volunteerism and charitable moves.
“Al Furdah Hands Campaign” is one of ten initiatives that Dubai Customs launched in support of the “Year of Giving” theme that characterises 2017.

Dubai Customs organizes a number of charity initiatives every year during the Holy Month of Ramadan as part of its strategic CSR efforts to maintain solidarity and enhance values of giving and selflessness as an inherent part of the UAE society and our religion.
The campaign will help spread a good humanitarian culture and strengthen ties between different people as consolidated and taught by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God bless his soul.
