Dubai Customs offers 144 immediate hirings at Careers UAE

Dubai Customs’ pavilion at the 17th edition of Careers UAE Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) witnessed a recognizable footfall from Emirati career hopefuls. The immediate hiring was the major offering to shortlisted graduates.
The country's leading recruitment exhibition for Emiratis, opened at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on Sunday, April 9, where scores of public and private sector organisations from the region and across the world are meeting, selecting and interviewing the best Emirati talent.
Applicants for jobs at Dubai Customs can apply online with the help of a team at the scene. Resumes are viewed and applicants invited for an interview. They are screened and filtered through a three stage process, and those who pass will be hired directly.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation visited Dubai Customs’ pavilion and was briefed on the available 144 vacancies at the Department and its future Emiratization and recruitment plans. 
Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs pointed out that Dubai Customs aspires to raise the number of Emirati employees in 2017 to 90% from 85% in 2016.
 
 
 
“Emiratization in the inspection sector, which makes 46% of Dubai Customs’ cadre, is 100%. We also have plans to recruit more people with disabilities following the vision of turning Dubai into a city friendly to people with disabilities by 2020, and the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of making 2017 a year of giving” Musabih explained.
On his part, Farid Hassan Al Marzouqi, Executive Director, Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division at Dubai Customs said: ''Dubai Customs will introduce its opportunities and initiatives to talented nationals.
"Dubai Customs continues its strategic approach aimed at headhunting and recruiting highly-competent UAE nationals to be part of its workforce. Careers UAE 2017 is a major career fair in the UAE and a good chance for us to meet talented UAE nationals in all fields," he added.
