Dubai Customs and Dubai Community Development
Authority (DCDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to
strengthen the existing strategic partnership relations efficiently and
as per a corporate system in a way furthering the relations
continuously, serving all society segments and reflecting positively on
the economic and social journey of the Emirate of Dubai.
The MoU is in line with the vision of the UAE’s wise
leadership and strategic directives in accordance with both sides’
strategic plans and the distinguished mutual relations they both enjoy
seeking to integrate efforts, exchange expertise and achieve the best
performance in serving the different clients’ categories by providing
them with the top service delivery standards.
H.E. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman of Ports,
Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Dubai Customs Director General and
H.E. Khalid Al Kamda, DCDA Director General signed the agreement in the
presence of a number of managers and officials representing both sides.
Subsequent to the signing, H.E. Ahmed Butti stated
that the MoU aims to consolidate all partnership efforts to achieve
Dubai Government vision, increase customer satisfaction, achieve mutual
benefits by drawing the partnership relations framework for both bodies,
making joint efforts to enhance the process performance, simplify the
procedures, develop customer services, sustain communication and
interaction between both sides in order to accomplish the mutual
interests and exchange knowledge, experiences and corporate expertise on
every level, in addition to exchanging information and studies related
to each side’s field of specialty and business domain.
H.E. Ahmed Butti affirmed that Dubai Customs and DCDA
work together continuously and consistently for serving the community
through discussing different social issues and problems within the
Emirate and seeking to provide appropriate solutions.
“Dubai Customs shares DCDA the community`s concerns
particularly about issues negatively affecting public security like
unemployment, family members problems , controlling extrinsic phenomenon
within UAE society and warning community`s members of the danger of
counterfeited products”, he said.
Mr.
Butti pointed out that Dubai Customs works for fulfilling the
community`s needs through consistent planning and development in order
to provided higher quality service delivery standards, improve
employees` competency and strive to promote social and voluntary
activity and the civil society organizations.
From his part, H.E. Kamda, Director General of DCDA
said:“ this initiative comes to substantiate the wise leadership`s
directives and Dubai`s strategic vision towards the integration of local
government organizations` roles and effort in tracking the overall
development journey in Dubai. Such agreement reflects both sides’ desire
in strengthening the bonds of cooperation and partnership between them
and promoting them to new dimensions.”
