Dubai Customs and Dubai Courts Sign an MoU for Training Experience Exchange

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Dubai Customs and Dubai Courts with the aim of enhancing the already active strategic partnership between them within a corporate system. This memorandum ensures further collaboration and the on-going development of this partnership, thus serving various community segments and materializing in enhanced economic and social development for the emirate.
The new MoU signed by the parties is formulated out of both parties’ strategic objectives and based on their unique relationship. It aims to achieve constant collaboration of efforts and exchange of experience, along with optimal performance in serving different segments of clientele as well as optimal performance in delivering distinguished services.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and Director General of Dubai Customs, and His Excellency Dr Ahmed Saeed bin Hazeem, Director General of Dubai Courts, in the presence of managers and officials from both parties.
After signing the MoU, H.E. Ahmed Butti pointed out that the agreement seeks to integrate the efforts of both parties in order to fulfil Dubai Government’s Vision, attain customer satisfaction, engage in joint activities to improve the performance of operations, facilitate procedures, develop customer service levels, consolidate regional and international partnerships, maintain constant communication and contact between both parties to achieve common interests; share corporate knowledge, skills, and experiences across all levels, as well as exchange knowledge and training specific to each party’s field of work.
H.E Ahmed Butti also confirmed that signing the MoU will definitely cement the existing partnership between Dubai Customs and Dubai Courts, which serves the public interest on a wide scale and ultimately favors the Dubai Strategy, which aims to provide high end services in all areas.
He added that both parties look forward to achieving the objectives of the agreement, which include benefitting from training programs offered to staff from both Dubai Customs and Dubai Courts, particularly customs and judicial activities’ joint courses; as well as benefitting from certified lecturers from both sides, and becoming closely acquainted with Dubai Courts’ e-Systems, specifically those pertaining to the management of judicial knowledge (court rulings, legal principles, and laws), along with case follow-up systems for cases where Dubai Customs is involved.
On the other side, His Excellency Dr Ahmed bin Hazeem, Director General of Dubai Courts stated that: “Signing this MoU comes in line with our wise leadership’s directives and Dubai Strategic Vision focusing on the integration of local government organizations’ roles and efforts in driving overall development in the emirat. It also reflects both parties’ desire to solidify their cooperation and partnership bonds, thereby taking them to higher levels.”
His Excellency Dr. Bin Hazeem further emphasized the fact that signing the MoU with Dubai Customs is an interpretation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which revolves around establishing strategic partnerships among Government Departments towards highly-integrated efforts, so as to serve all client categories and offer them the best services.
The Dubai Courts’ Director General noted, “One more thing we kept our eyes on when we signed this MoU, is the exchange of corporate knowledge, expertise, and experiences available abundantly with each party.” He continued, “besides, staff from both organizations would be offered valuable training opportunities.” Moreover, he pointed out that the key objective is to enhance and develop relationships with different government and private organizations in order to serve the community and boost Dubai’s economic growth.​
