At GITEX Global 2023, the government department unveiled its groundbreaking "Cargo Status Tracking" initiative, which promises an exceptional customer journey by enabling real-time shipment monitoring from arrival to clearance, streamlining customs clearance procedures across Dubai's borders.
This pioneering global initiative reinforces Dubai's strategic importance in the international trade landscape, aiming to boost efficiency, reduce costs for customs and traders, and support business growth in Dubai. It also empowers customers to take swift actions based on shipment status, enhancing their satisfaction and decreasing the volume of inquiries received by the call center, currently totaling 55,000 annually.
H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, highlighted Dubai's commitment to global excellence and innovation-driven sustainable development, under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
