Dubai Customs Shines Bright with Expo Dubai 2020 Badges for its Exceptional Team
Dubai Customs recently celebrated the achievements of 90 of its staff members by awarding them Expo Dubai 2020 badges. These badges were given in recognition of their valuable contributions to the successful hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai , who emphasized the importance of appreciating those who played a role in the event's success.
H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, praised the employees for their outstanding performance during one of the world's largest exhibitions. He highlighted their crucial role in solidifying Dubai's reputation as a global destination capable of organizing top-tier international exhibitions.
The Director General also acknowledged Dubai Customs' efforts in facilitating customs procedures and services for Expo 2020 Dubai participants, thereby supporting the UAE's position as a vital hub for global trade. Furthermore, he mentioned that the department had obtained official customs clearance accreditation for Expo as a recognized economic operator.
Mohammed Al Ghaffari, Executive Director, Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division at Dubai Customs, commended the employees during a ceremony attended by executive directors, department heads, and staff. This gesture underscores the department's commitment to acknowledging the contributions of volunteers and teams that played a pivotal role in making this historic event a success, ultimately portraying Dubai and the UAE in a positive light.
