The Passenger Operations Department has worked at full capacity during the Hajj (pilgrimage) season to ensure a smooth trip for all pilgrims coming back into the country. These efforts included a work plan to receive the pilgrims through a number of proactive procedures.

Kamali thanked the Department of Islamic Affairs for the honouring, stressing that Dubai customs has cooperated with different stakeholders and entities to help the Hajj passengers have a pleasant trip back into the country.

Dubai Customs took many proactive measures during the Hajj season, including allocating a special path for pilgrims in the hand baggage inspection area along the counter of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, to quickly finish the procedures for the pilgrims. The baggage carousel for pilgrims was chosen to be the nearest to the exit gates at the arrivals hall, and pilgrims exited through electronic inspection gates.
