Under the slogan “Safe and Sustainable Digital Trade”, Dubai Customs takes part in Gitex Technology this year with eight leading projects. From its stand number S3-B1 at Sheikh Saeed Hall3, the Government Department will highlight its latest services and innovations, which aim to boost trade, protect society and enhance passengers’ experience.
The projects are I-Box Auto Handling Project, Smart Inspection Table, Smart Electric Vehicles, Smart iDeclare, Smart Inspection Program (SIMA), the new corporate website, e-Commerce Platform, and Inspection Submarine.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the smart electric vehicles, which are used for inspection purposes along Dubai Creek, Deira Wharfage and Al Hamriya Port (14km).
Visitors will also be face to face with the Smart Inspection Submarine. The new creative drone can explore vessels’ hulls and dive down up to 98 feet. It features a 4K camera, which can provide high-resolution 3D pictures and videos. Live streaming can be watched in the operations room using virtual reality goggles to detect prohibited and restricted goods.
I-Box will help streamline logistic processes in Dubai to serve passengers and handle precious shipments more efficiently.
