Dubai Customs’ Corporate Communication Department (CSR Section) launched “Protecting our Children is our Responsibility” initiative, as part of a wider campaign: “Al Furdah with you”, in conjunction with the return of students to face-to-face school learning.
Around 10,000 face masks and 1,000 sanitizer packs were distributed to school students as part of the initiative in cooperation with Pioneer Auctions Company.
The initiative targeted students to raise awareness among them around the hazards of covid-19 and to enlighten them of the best ways to prevent the spread of the virus. The activity took place with coordination with the Ministry of Education.
Dubai Customs is well established as a sustainable CSR model thanks to its active role in different society initiatives that target all segments. For this, the Government Department collaborates with strategic partners with the aim of protecting society and contributing to its development, prosperity and safety. To serve this purpose, Dubai Customs allocated many resources, especially during the pandemic.
Dubai Customs highly commended Pioneer Auctions for providing the masks and sanitizers and rewarded them with appreciation letters highlighting their active social responsibility role.
“The initiative aims to support students in their face to face learning and to raise their awareness around the necessity to wear masks and maintain distancing,” said Mohammed Hussain, Manager of Events and Creative Service at Corporate Communications Department. “Dubai Customs is faithful to its CSR programs and vision of giving back to society. This is why our initiatives are diverse to engage all segments of society.”
On his part, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Baidai, Owner of Pioneer Auctions applauded the efforts of Dubai Customs in supporting social causes, and praised the strategic partnership with them.
