Dubai Customs distributes 10,500 iftar meals to service workers and sailors in Ramadan

On the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Day which falls on the 19th day of Ramadan every year, and in commemoration of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs distributed iftar meals to service workers at Dubai Customs. 

This is part of the “Giving Iftar” initiative, which Dubai Customs has launched across the Holy Month. 
Musabih was accompanied by Juma Al Ghaith, Executive Director of Customs Development Division at Dubai Customs, Mansoor Al Malik, Executive Director for Policies and Legislation Division, and Rashid Al Sharid, CEO, Administration and Finance Division.



More than 10,500 iftar meals will be distributed during Ramadan, or 350 meals a day. These will include 6,000 meals to service workers from the CSR section, 4,500 iftar meals from Sea Customs Center Management will be distributed to sailors and boat captains/owners.

The initiative runs with cooperation of Dubai Charity Society and Hayat Regency Hotel, and all precautionary measures are taken during the distribution of iftar meals.

Inspired by him and his great deeds we are boosting solidarity and ties of fraternity among all segments of the society as part of our CSR commitments and inherent values” said Musabih.
