Dubai Customs graduates 2nd batch of Customs Trainer Professional Trainer program

Dubai Customs organized an online graduation ceremony for eight employees, who have completed the Customs Trainer professional diploma, in the presence of HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and a number of directors and heads of customs departments. The diploma is an important course that equips cadres with skills and knowledge essential for customs training.



Commenting on the graduation of the second batch of customs trainers, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs said: 
“Our top priority goes to developing the potential and competencies of our employees to ensure they are capable enough in not only doing their job, but in spreading the knowledge and experience to lead the next 50 years following the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.” 



Musabih pointed out that the Department has approved a series of sustainable plans and strategies to develop the competencies of its employees within a vision of maintaining the leading position Dubai Customs enjoys. This included programs such as the Supply Chain and customs Program, the Customs Trainer Professional Diploma and the client Happiness Diploma. 
Director General of Dubai Customs mentioned that despite the spread of the pandemic Dubai Customs went on its 2020 training plan, and 945 training workshops, that covered 4,000 training hours and targeted 4,400 employees, were conducted through Linkedin.



Along the same line, Mohammed Al Ghaffari, Executive Director, Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division at Dubai Customs said: “We always seek to develop the skills of our employees especially with courses that can’t be found in the university. The graduates of the Customs Trainer Professional Diploma have gained enough knowledge and competency that enable them to handle training workshops.”


Khamis Al Muhairi, Senior Manager-Learning and development, Customs training Center said:”A total of 15 employees from different departments nominated for this program, and only eight fulfilled the requirements. The course covered 300 training hours and lasted for 36 days. The course contained 13 materials (6 specialized materials, 3 behavioral materials and 3 informational materials, along with one practical project).”
