November 30, 2019

Dubai Customs held the “Martyr’s Day (Commemoration Day)” ceremony, which is marked annually on 30th November.

President Sheikh Khalifa has declared November 30th a national holiday to honor and remember Emiratis who have fallen in the line of duty.

Each year the country will pay tribute on Martyrs’ Day to the honor and loyalty of its national heroes in recognition of the sacrifices they made.

Director General of Dubai Customs Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said:

“The UAE's martyrs have embodied the lessons of allegiance and love for the homeland, instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Zayed's legacy of national pride has seen multiple generations carry forward these noble principles, while also remembering, proudly, our martyrs and their families, who are exemplars of bravery, selflessness and patriotism to the nation and its leadership."
