
The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation has organized a Ramadan Suhoor reception for its staff at the Al Maktoum Hall, DWTC, in the presence of Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) as well as high profile officials of affiliated entities which are Dubai Customs, Dubai Ports, Jafza, Trakhees, Dubai Maritime City Authority and Dubai Trade.
The PCFC guests for the Suhoor reception performed Isha and Taraweeh prayers, then listened to a religious lecture, delivered by the renowned Islamic speaker Sheikh Suleiman Al Jubailan from KSA. Al Jubailan spoke about how wearing a smile can play a secret role in improving family life and work environment. He referred to Quranic verses and hadiths to support this fact.
Sultan bin Sulayem wished employees a happy Ramadan and stressed the importance of having a one-team spirit throughout the corporation.
Bin Sulayem attributed the achievements of the corporation to employees’ corporate and national loyalty. He mentioned that PCFC entities are major contributors to the national economy, with Dubai Customs alone contributing 19% of the Dubai Government revenues, and Jafza 20.6% of Dubai’s GDP.
The young Emirati actor Marwan Abdullah Saleh entertained the audience by testing their knowledge. He presented winners with valuable prizes. The Emirati comedian Ali Al Sayed performed a comedy show that made the audience burst into laughter.
