Ahmed Mahboob Musabih: Dubai-Korea trade in first nine months of 2015 scored AED 21 billion

H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, the Director of Dubai Customs, has received  the Republic of Korea's Consul General in Dubai  Heo, Nam Duk. They exchanged views on issues of common interest and on possibilities to strengthen cooperation and create better coordination in Customs processes. The meeting was held at DC head office, in the presence of Faisal Eissa Lutfi, DC World CEO and Director of External Relations at Dubai Customs.
 
H.E. Ahmed Mahboob said that Dubai Customs pays utmost attention to improving cooperation with diplomatic corps and business councils in Dubai.
Musabih said Korea was a major trading partner of Dubai with AED 21 billion worth of non-oil trade scored in the first nine months of 2015. Imports amounted to AED 19.5 billion, followed by exports at AED 1.1 billion and re-exports at AED 302 million.
“We seek to keep abreast of our clients’ needs and to involve them in the development of our services, as part of our Irtibat programme, which aims to nurture closer ties with foreign business communities based in Dubai, ” said Ahmed Mahboob.
 
 
“We are building stronger trade ties with Korea through the implementation of the Authorized Economic Operator programme, which will add far more flexibility and simplification to cargo movement procedures between Dubai and South Korea,” he added.
