Dubai Customs Showcases its New Concept at GITEX - 2011

At GITEX – 2011, Dubai Custom will showcase a set of mobile inventive services, including its new concept ‘My Smart Report’.
The Dept. always strives to introduce itself as a leading exhibitor with first class innovations and in this sector, Dubai Customs experiences a technological upturn with GITEX which is one of the most important trade fairs across the region. In this trend, the latest technological development process will continue to enhancing the relationship with its customers and ensuring their satisfaction by delivering quality services.
At present, ‘My Smart Reports’ is intended to serve 25 mega companies and the platform will be extended to widely sustain as many as possible of the departments’ clients.
During the event, Dubai Customs will showcase its electronic products, taking into the account that the Dept. was one of the first leading government departments in the Emirate adopting a successful electronic environment and practically, since 2008, it has migrated to entirely delivering the 80 services online.
Mr Juma AL-Ghaith, Executive Director of Customs Development Department at Dubai Customs, assured that the Mobile Services have effectively contributed in facilitating communication between the Department and its customers & strategic partners who can now easily access to miscellaneous pages containing comprehensive useful information about the Depart latest news, activities and services and they can also be updated about their customs declaration clearance, submitting suggestions and complaints at any time.
AL-Ghaith explained that the platform of the mobile services which will be expanded to clients is very important and needed, especially ‘My Smart Reports’ which serves companies’ CEO’s and provide them with a list of reports in a better facilitative way thus saving them time and efforts. He said that the detailed showcase of the new services will be revealed at GITEX -2011.
Dubai Customs believes that Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX), the largest IT exhibition in the Middle East and the worldwide leading platform for the IT industry, will expand greater opportunity to Dubai to develop the Department business upturn, especially, the Department is ramping up its efforts to always come up with new business trends and systems to promoting better internal/external business environment and customer services for employees and clients alike.
Dubai Customs’ active participation at last year’s GITEX has successfully led to sign up 5 business MoUs with key giant logistic providers, especially the courier companies for using the electronic business channel ‘B2G’ which enabled them to automatically transfer their transactions via Mirsal2 and easily at any time process the transactions along with e-payment.
