Dubai Customs launches a number of its mobile e-services at Gitex 2011, on top of which “ My Smart Reports”

HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai attended yesterday 9 October 2011 the launch of a number of mobile eservices by Dubai Customs at Gitex 2011.

That took place during a tour HH made to stands taking part at the international exhibition. HH listened to a detailed explanation on the new services presented by Ahmed Mahboub Musabih, Executive Director of the Clients Management Division. These services target companies and firms that use Mirsal 2 for their different customs transactions.
The new value-added mobile phone services are available for over 7500 users of Mirsal2 System. They help simplify trade businesses greatly due to saving time and efforts and reinforcing efficient and consistent communication with the Department using their smart phones. Clients can inquire about the customs declaration status through selecting any of the provided reports to retrieve its details after entering the declaration number without having to log in user’s details.
Besides being notified about the status of their customs declarations whether been approved or still pending, this helps accelerate the required procedures for completing customs declarations and quick release of goods.
Another mobile phone service is viewing Dubai Customs news as clients and those interested can learn about the Department’s latest news on a daily and 24/7 basis.
The map service enables the clients to locate customs centers precisely and clearly as well as many other Dubai Customs related information. Through the smart phone services, clients can get acquainted with details on the HS Code, submit suggestions, contact the Department directly in order to allow all segments of society to report any customs-related violations.
“My Smart Reports” is one of the latest and important additions to these services. The service targets the CEOs of the companies and Initially, the service will be available for 25 companies and will later extend to include as many clients as possible.
