Dubai Customs has started implementing ideas passed on by the MBR Smart Majlis. As many as 33 feasible ideas have been approved for implementation, out of 106 ideas passed on to Dubai Customs by MBR Smart Majlis, since the council’s inception on October 24, representing 31% of all submitted ideas.
The MBR Smart Majlis is a one-stop platform for lodging ideas and suggestions from the public, with the aim of developing Dubai’s government services.
Approved ideas include mobile phone applications and new customs services. Moreover, Dubai Customs received 10 comments from the majlis, 6 of them were approved.
After approval, submitted ideas go through a cycle to evolve into actual projects to be later merged within Customs processes, ensuring DC clients get an added value of their business operations in Dubai. A specially-dedicated taskforce is formed to thoroughly review these ideas and determine phases and plans of implementation, so that concerned departments can execute applicable and feasible ideas as per a clear plan.
In support of MBR Smart Majlis and to ensure the initiative is a resounding success, Dubai Customs is committed to awarding employees who submitted ideas that were approved by the majlis. H.E. It also gauges their high urge to back the development journey of Dubai. In return, we regard this interaction as an additional motive to grant these ideas further attention and investigation, so that we can recognize and transform them into viable procedures and projects.
