Dubai Customs has launched a national initiative to build a mosque in memory of the Emirati martyrs who had sacrificed their souls in Yemen last Friday.
The mosque, to be named ‘The Martyrs’ Mosque’, will be built through donations collected from Dubai Customs employees, who responded very positively to the initiative.
A team from Dubai Customs has also decided to call one of the largest meeting halls at their office ‘The Martyrs Hall’. The hall is said to have held more than 150 meetings this year and welcomed officials and strategic partners from different countries.
Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication at Dubai Customs, said that Dubai Customs employees showed their full support once the initiative was announced.
“We will always bear in mind the humanitarian projects and works being launched by our leadership. We seek to learn from them and follow their example.”
