On the occasion of the 40th National Day of UAE, Dubai Customs has launched a number of different events in the main building and all relevant customs centers in the emirate to enable Dubai Customs staffs to express their joy of the National Day and recall the leading role that the founding fathers have played in achieving their great achievements during the last four decades.
The program of this year will include a special pavilion at Mirdif City Center – Ground Floor
Visitors at Dubai Customs pavilion will be part of the joy, they will fix (the Puzzle) a large playing board that is inspired from “Spirit of the Union”. The idea of the game is simply about a collection of photographs taken by many locals and expatriates and had been selected by Dubai Customs in a competition that had particularly been launched on the occasion of this anniversary. The pavilion will also showcase some heritage and local craftworks which will profess an ample glimpse on great past of the UAE.
Internally, Dubai Customs has also launched (Best Decorated Department) inter-competition between the departments and customs centers conducted to mark the National Day by designing most attractive decoration, bandages and stickers which reflect on the Emirate culture, heritage and national identity. Dubai Customs Offices and customs centers have been decorated with the photos of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed AL-Nahayan, Head of the UAE, (May Allah Guard him), his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid AL Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, (May Allah Guard him), their brothers Rulers of the Emirates and the portrait of the UAE founder – late Sheikh Zayed AL-Nahyan (May the Mercy of Allah be on him)
Arabic sittings (Majlis) were furnished inside some departments, booklets granted to visitors, shirts, hats and shawls printed with the logo of the 40th UAE National Union Day were also distributed and traditional food served to the employees and customers.
At its entrance, The Client Department at Dubai Customs main building – second floor, installed (Dukan Canteen) to serve shopping for UAE popular food and allow employees buy traditional food and sweets. The money of the internal shopping will be contributed to the welfare of the charitable and humanitarian societies
The Self-Rehabilitation Center (the library) at Dubai Customs main building –ground floor, is also organizing an exhibition for handicrafts in coincidence with the 40th UAE National Day celebrations. The organized shop sells different kinds of handmade products that are especially designed on the occasion of this momentous day, including shawls, lady handbags, hats and accessories. The shopping showcase also includes a collection of books and interesting novels with the intention of encouraging DC staff and employees reading and self-continual improvement
The Maritime Customer Service Department and Jabel Ali, on Wednesday, this month, from 07:30pm to 11:00am, will celebrate this momentous anniversary by organizing some events and heritage activities inviting all Dubai Customs employees to visit 4 customs centers of the Customer Services Department and Jabel Ali where everyone can enjoy the day
On the other hand, Dubai Customs at its main building will organize on Wednesday morning, November 30, 2011, an official day on the occasion of this anniversary
