Ahmed Mahboob: Our employees’ enthusiasm about the campaign shows great dedication to charity work

In prompt response to the ‘UAE Suqia’ initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to provide clean water to 5 million people worldwide - the initiative that will be implemented through digging wells, provision of water pumps and water purification equipment to the needy areas; Dubai Customs has launched a charitable campaign aimed at digging 30 wells during the holy month of Ramadan, one well every day.
Ahmed Mahboob, Director of Dubai Customs said: “Launching this charitable campaign is the least thing we could do in response to the initiative of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. I am particularly happy to see the large turnout of our employees and their passionate enthusiasm to join in this humanitarian action.”
He continued that Dubai Customs is keen on undertaking regular societal projects to meet its community responsibilities and get fully engaged in all humanitarian initiatives of the nation.
“The project consists in digging 30 wells in the most underprivileged regions in Africa and Asia, where potable water is scarce, and will be executed in joint coordination with a number of local charitable organizations,”  Mr. Musabih said.
