The Minister of Education Confers the Graduates of DC’s Childcare Centre their Graduation Certificates

 The Minister of Education, H.E. Humaid Mohammad AL Qutaimi confers the graduate students of the Dubai Customs Childcare Centre, along with the graduate students from Al Noor Nursery at the Ministry of Education on June 5, 2014.
From Dubai Customs, a number of officials attended the ceremony including Mr. Butti Abdullah Al Jumairi , Executive Director – Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division; Mr. Ahmed Obaid Al Falasi, Director- Administration Affairs Department, and Mrs. Maryam Khalifa Al Shamsi, Government Partnership Manager, Corporate Communications, attended the ceremony which was held at the ministry’s theater.
Furthermore, the attendees included the graduates parents,  DC’s childcare centre’s staff, and a number of staff members from the ministry’s nursery, Al Noor.
The ceremony kicked off with a speech from an MC who presented a presentation on the Dubai Customs Childcare Centre and the Al Noor Nursery. Following the presentation, Mrs. Al Shamsi gave a speech about the centre addressing the parents of the graduates.
During the ceremony, the graduates from DC’s childcare centre and Al Noor Nursery gave an on-stage performance where they sang four songs in Arabic, English, Spanish and French. After their performance, one of the graduate students from DC’s Childcare Centre presented a poem in Arabic, and another graduate student from Al Noor Nursery presented a poem in English. Finalizing the performances, the MC called H.E. Humaid Al Qutaimi on stage for a group picture and to present each graduate with their graduation certificate. The minister presented a total of  8 graduation certificates to the  DC’s Childcare Centre’s graduates, and took a picture with each student.
“We are very pleased with this year’s graduation ceremony, it was a remarkable one. The minister took his time to take a picture with each one of our graduates as he handed them their certificates. The parents were very honoured and happy to see their children on stage with such a prominent figure,” said Mr. Butti Al Jumairi at the graduation ceremony.
“Education is highly valued at Dubai Customs, back in 2009 we were the first government department to open up a nursery on our premises. We pay special attention to the children that attend our childcare centre, and we work hard to provide a suitable environment for the children of our employees. It was an honour to have our graduation ceremony at the ministry, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the turn out.” Continued Mr. Butti Al Jumairi.
This year’s graduating class marks the fifth graduating class for the childcare centre, it is the first graduating class to have a ceremony at the Ministry of Education. Previous graduation ceremonies were held at the Dubai Customs Headquarters.
