The Human Resources Department of Dubai Customs has recently introduced Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHRD) to its HR development projects, most notable of which is the HR Gate, a ground-breaking interface that serves employees in all HR related matters. The project is the first of its kind for both the government and private sectors of Dubai.
A DC delegation, comprising Yousef Ozair Mubarak, HR Director, Ali Mohammed Ahli, Senior Manager, Employee Relations, and Eman Al Abdooli, Senior Officer, Employee Relations; paid a visit to DGHRD, where they were received by Isaa bin Natouf, Communication and Program Support Director.
The project in question was previously presented to representatives from RTA, Directorate General of Civil Defence, and General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai.
Initially launched in November 2011, the HR Gate project was displayed at the meeting with DGHRD as an innovative initiative aimed at establishing an interface for Human Resources Department that allows employees to submit and follow up all their HR related requests, and obtain responses to all inquiries regarding HR policies, rules, and regulations through one-stop focal point that provides its services over the phone, via email, or over the counter. The HR Gate is meant to develop and integrate the procedures and ensure service quality, as well as to effectuate internal and external communication to ultimately enhance employee satisfaction and build a corporate culture that is based on quality, excellence and continuous development, all within a healthy and stimulating work environment .
