Dubai Customs sponsors the Win Victory Love event

In support of youth initiatives and taking their aspirations to new horizons: Dubai Customs announced sponsoring the “Win Victory Love” event, organised by a group of Emirati youth. The event was inspired by the words of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, at the First Government Summit where he announced a symbol expressing Winning, Victory and Love.
 

Representing Dubai Customs at the event was Mr Yousef Al Sahlawi, Senior Executive Director of Corporate Affairs. In his speech at the inauguration of the event, Mr Al Sahlawi said that the idea of organising this event, which is inspired by the words of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, at the First Government Summit in 2013, reflects a spirit of initiation and innovation Emirati youth have in addition to their capabilities to create and excel in various fields.
“This positive energy, implanted by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in his people, was one of the key factors that contributed to turning the UAE into a developed country in all aspects, with achievements and attractions that match those found in large and most developed world countries”, Al Sahlawi said.  
Al Sahlawi added that due to this positive energy, ascertained by H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE is the best country for everyone to live and work in. Everybody must have this spirit to maintain previous achievements and continue the progress with confident steps that take these achievements to highest levels.
Dubai Customs’ sponsorship of the event is part of the Department’s strategy represented in supporting enterprises that can encourage initiatives by young men and women and hone Emirati skills, enabling them to achieve their goals and taking their aspirations to new horizons.
Dubai Customs pays special attention to supporting the young segment of the society and extending a helping hand to them at various aspects, believing in their role, potentials and exceptional capabilities that provide bright prospects for the UAE’s future.
Al Sahlawi stressed on Dubai Customs’ commitment to supporting youth and student initiatives, as it has previously supported many such enterprises and initiatives, namely “My Knowledge” initiative, launched by a group of Emirati female undergraduates at Zayed University. Moreover, the Department organised a large number of awareness campaigns, aimed at shedding light on key issues and risks threatening our community and training the young segment on encountering these risks by all means to ensure a safe living environment for all.
