Ahmed Butti Ahmed receives a high-level Turkish delegation

His Excellency, Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Director General of Dubai Customs, has received a high-level Turkish delegation headed by His Excellency, Ramzi AKÇİN, Director General of the Turkish Customs 
 
The visit comes within the framework of enhancing mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise between Dubai Customs and other Customs authorities at the global level and enhancement of trade exchange and promotion of Customs business through implementation of best class practices
 
His Excellency, Director General of Dubai Customs welcomed the visiting delegation, highlighting on cooperation relations in areas of economy, trade and investment on the basis of the bilateral relationship between Dubai and Turkey, assuring Dubai’s keenness on strengthening these relations and his excellency revealed that Turkey is a key strategic partner to Dubai, especially, Turkey occupies a fifth rank amongst nations that size of trade exchange during January to October, 2012 reached at AED42bn         
 
 During the tour, the delegation visited some departments at Dubai Customs and learnt about the Customs transactions clearance process and business mechanism as followed by the Customs Declaration Management Department. the delegation has also learnt about the Customs process system and on-going module as performed in fields of inspection and operation management, besides, the delegation got an idea about the Customs e.Clearance system “Mirsal2” which has in-house been invented and developed by Dubai Customs as an integral system to facilitate acceleration of business process and clearance along with controlling shipments and enhancement of legitimate trade.
