Dubai Customs honors 20 graduates from the Client Happiness Diploma

His Excellency Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, honored the employees of the Client Happiness Diploma Program, which was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Etisalat Academy. The program aims to support the quality of life in the government work environment, in order to contribute to raising the level of client happiness. The honoring ceremony was held in Dubai Customs’ main building in the presence of a number of executives, directors of departments and graduates of the program.


The program included topics in the positive organization, quality of life in the work environment, effective and digital communication tools, future and proactive skills in making clients happy through digital welfare centers, and using digital technologies to make them happy through artificial intelligence and innovation.

His Excellency Ahmed Mahboub Musabih said: “We are proud of our long-term strategic partnership with the Ministry of Interior and our participation with them in the Customer Happiness Diploma Program. This partnership reflects the department's interest to develop national competencies and achieve happiness for clients and society. This program provided full support and contributed to developing the capabilities of front-end employees and giving them practical experience to face challenges and overcome them effectively, which has a positive impact on the quality and speed of work performance in line with highest international standards.”

His Excellency added that Dubai Customs achieved the second place in customer happiness scoring 91.8% on the Dubai Government Customer Happiness Index 2021.
 
“اThis came as a result of the department's commitment to a comprehensive work methodology and an ambitious strategy that aims to provide an integrated system that supports the department in upgrading its services and operations, based on international best practices. This included training and qualification for front-end employees, coupled with innovative services and initiatives that ensure the smoothness and flexibility of business to formulate a bright future for the department and support its strategy 2021- 2026.” 

Musabih indicated that Dubai Customs was selected to be part of the new work system experiment, based on several indicators, including happiness, productivity and digital services provided by the department to its customers in line with a set of standards that Dubai Customs has worked on over the past years. The Government Department has launched a number of leading initiatives including Mestanis, Ertibat, and the Consultative Council which all contributed to happier clients. 

The Director General of Dubai Customs called on the employees to continue to exert effort and diligent work in order for Dubai Customs to reach the first positions in various fields, especially in client happiness sector.

During the ceremony, Maryam Al Shamsi, Senior Manager of Client Service Development at Dubai Customs gave a speech in which she applauded the efforts of the senior leadership in the department and the human resources division and their unlimited support to raise the efficiency of the department's employees. She thanked the Ministry of Interior for their cooperation with Dubai Customs in many training programs, highlighting the program's contribution to providing front-end employees with practical experience to face challenges and overcome them. 

Twenty employees from various divisions of Dubai Customs graduated from the program.
