Airport Show 2018 hosts 300 exhibitors from more than 90 countries.
Ibrahim Al Kamali, director of passenger operations at Dubai Customs said: “There is a strategic partnership between Dubai Airports and Dubai Customs who work together towards a unified vision and a common objective. Both parties work hard to overcome different challenges and provide the clients with the best services which maintains Dubai’s status as a modern city. This will also enhance and sustain Dubai International Airport’s leading position globally.
The number of Dubai International Airport passengers has risen 5.5% to 88.2m passengers in 2017”
The explosive Detection Device (EDD) is a training suitcase equipped with a camera for documentation and remote communication and a data software. The suitcase has different materials, samples, an ipad for clearance of cargo in case of emergency, barcode device, scanner, reader and projector.
The Smart Detection System (SDS) is the first of its kind in the world. It connects different internal inspection units which detects suspected luggage using the x-ray techniques to the main inspection hall where inspectors manually inspect suspected luggage.
