Dubai Customs Director General meets US Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary

H.E. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Dubai Customs Director General received on Sunday, December 4th, 2011 an American delegation headed by Mr. John Morton, Assistant Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security- Director of US Immigration And Customs Enforcement subcommittee in the presence of Mrs. Suzanne Barr, Chief of Staff for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and H.E. Justin Siberell, the US Consul General in Dubai as well as Mr. Yosef Al Sahlawi, Senior Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at Dubai Customs and a number of officials at Dubai Customs and the US Department of Homeland Security.
Both sides exchanged friendly talks and demonstrated the solid relations the UAE and USA enjoy together especially the economic ones since the USA is considered among the top strategic partners to the Emirate of Dubai. Furthermore, they both highlighted the robust relations which bring the Emirati and American people together.
H.E. Ahmed Butti stressed the significance of these relations and the need to strengthen and support them and Mr. Morton expressed his appreciation to H.E. Ahmed Butti for his hospitality. At the end of the meeting, both sides exchanged memorial gifts and had a luncheon hosted by H.E. Ahmed Butti for the US visiting delegation.
