Dubai Customs and Federal Police School ink MoU in the training field

Dubai Customs and the Federal Police School, an affiliate of the Ministry of Interior, signed an MoU, in regard to enhancing strategic partnership and coordination in various fields, particularly training, sharing information and experiences and benefiting from capabilities and competencies available at both sides. The MoU is aimed at developing the competencies of human resources at the Department and laying the foundation of sustainable development and self-learning concept.

The MoU was signed at Dubai Customs building by Ms Nadia Abdullah Kamali, (Acting) Executive Director of Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division at Dubai Customs, and Brigadier Ahmed Abdullah Al Hajiri, Deputy Director General of Human Resources at the Ministry of Interior, in the presence of a number of directors and officials from both sides.

After signing the MoU, Ms Kamali said that it is aimed at boosting cooperation, sharing experiences, proceeding with developing and diversifying specialized training programs at the Customs Training Centre, which will contribute to the development of human resources competencies, and improving a mutual coordination with the school to carry out training courses in the field of enhancing Dubai Customs’ inspectors security alert and utilizing the narcotics and psychotropic substances exhibition, related to knowledge assets and application aspects.

Ms Kamali pointed out that Dubai Customs takes great interest in training and developing human competencies by creating training programs in various customs and administrative fields according to the highest standards, in coordination with many distinguished training providers. This comes in line with Dubai Customs strategy to become a global organisation and achieve its vision of  becoming the leading customs administration in the world supporting legitimate trade.

She added that by signing MoUs with training providers in the country, Dubai Customs aims to further its staff training programs, improve and update the level and quality of performance competencies in jobs assigned to Dubai Customs’ employees, for the purpose of positioning itself between other departments and organisations and be able to effectively and positively cope with the changes on local, regional and international levels.
 
 
She underlined that the MoU sealed with the Federal Police School will enhance the existing partnership between Dubai Customs and the Ministry of Interior to serve the public interest, which is part of the government strategy aiming to provide highest service levels in all areas.

On the other hand, Brigadier Ahmed Abdullah Al Hajiri said :” Signing this memorandum is an embodiment of the directives of our wise leadership and its strategic vision in integrating the roles and efforts of federal and local government organisations to continue with the overall development witnessed in the UAE. It also reflects the desire of both sides to reinforce cooperation and partnership ties between them, taking them to new horizons. In addition, the MoU is in line with the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to share practical experiences in various areas with federal and local government organizations alike, particularly in the training field and boosting communication channels between them”.

Mr Al Hajiri stressed that both sides agreed to share experiences and competencies that contribute to enhancing knowledge and training aspects for both organisations, utilizing all potentials available in the two sides to sustain these efforts and achieve these goals.

He emphasised that through initiative to develop partnerships, the Ministry of Interior  seeks to create additional resources for development whether for employees, partners or customers.
