Dubai Customs and Algerian Consul General discuss boosting trade cooperation


Dubai Customs goes the extra mile to cement its diplomatic ties with friendly countries, with the aim of bolstering their trade collaborations. In this light, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation warmly welcomed His Excellency Mahmoud Mohammadi, the Consul General of Algeria. During their meeting, they explored innovative ways to escalate the flow of trade between Dubai and Algeria by providing unparalleled commercial and customs services and ease of access to Algerian traders and companies.





Ahmed Mahboob Musabih emphasized Dubai Customs' determination to fulfill all requirements for the seamless facilitation of trade with Algeria. He further emphasized the significance of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates in international trade and highlighted how Algerian traders and companies could leverage Dubai's world-class ports, airports, and free zones to penetrate international markets.


In his statement, Musabih highlighted that Dubai Customs is actively seeking to expand its trade relations with countries worldwide, and their efforts to strengthen collaboration with diplomatic entities aim to facilitate mutual trade with countries represented by those entities. The UAE's strategic location on the global trade map allows Dubai Customs to provide exceptional opportunities to their trading partners to benefit from their expertise in connecting international markets. Dubai Customs is committed to providing top-quality customs services and facilities to ensure the prompt and efficient processing of customs transactions for Algerian traders and companies.


Moreover, Musabeh stated that enhancing trade with their partners is a key part of their commitment to achieving Dubai's economic agenda D33, which aims to double Dubai's foreign trade during the next decade. Dubai Customs' Strategic Plan 2021-2026 seeks to establish their position as a global leader in secure customs, which will further the UAE's progress towards achieving worldwide leadership in all fields. Hosting the COP28 global climate change conference at Expo Dubai is a significant achievement that enhances the UAE's global status.


H.E. Mahmoud Mohammadi conveyed his deep gratitude towards Dubai Customs for their continuous collaboration with Algerian diplomatic entities in boosting the mutual trade between Algeria and the United Arab Emirates.
