Dubai Customs signs MoU with Damas Jewellery to train employees

Within its efforts to provide their employees with higher skills, Dubai Customs signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Damas Jewellery Group on the sidelines of the UAE Careers Vision Exhibition, held in Dubai World Trade Center (15-17 November) with the participation of 70 government and private entities. 



Mohammed Al Ghaffari, Executive Director, Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division at Dubai Customs and Anas Abu Na’ama, Head of Legal and HR Division at Damas Jewellery signed the MoU, in the presence of H.E. Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department.

According to the Memorandum signed, Damas will train Dubai Customs’ employees over three years through a series of workshops and training programs on how to check and distinguish genuine diamonds, pearls and precious stones from fake ones.  

Commenting on the cooperation, Al Ghaffari said: “We enhance our partnerships with different economic sectors to achieve mutual targets and exchange expertise and knowledge. This comes in line with the UAE’s strategic plans and aspirations towards a brighter and more prosperous future.”  

On his part, Anas Abu Na’ama commended the efforts of Dubai Customs to continually raise the efficiency of their employees, and enhance partnerships to help with the development of procedures and services.
