Dubai Customs bags 3 enterprise architecture awards from ICMG

Dubai Customs won three notable awards in enterprise architecture from ICMG at Enterprise, Digital and IT Architecture Excellence Awards 2019. 




The first award was for excellence in enterprise business development, the second was bagged by Juma Al Ghaith, Executive Director of Customs Development Division as the world’s best CEO in IT, and the third was received by Hussam Juma, Director, Service Innovation Department as the world’s best director of enterprise architecture.  


Hussam Juma received Dubai Customs’ awards from John A. Zachman, the Father of Enterprise Architecture in a ceremony held in New York City, USA as part of the international conference for enterprise architecture and information technology. 


HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs highly applauded this renowned achievement during his reception to the Service Innovation team in the presence of Juma Al Ghaith and Hussam Juma, Director, Service Innovation Department. 


“The efforts and steps taken in developing smart customs services at Dubai Customs have led to a number of notable achievements and helped develop the customs sector worldwide. These development efforts and achievements have also supported Dubai as a global hub of business” said Musabih.   


Hussam Juma confirmed that Dubai Customs was among the first organizations to have implemented the best practices in enterprise architecture, which led to save Dhs540 billion in the last 5 years and 31% reduction in time needed to complete operations. These practices have also maximized connectivity between different sectors and departments.
