Dubai Customs distributes clothes to 1,500 families during Eid

Within its commitment towards community and as part of its efforts to support needy families and help ease their burden, Dubai Customs launched “Eid Clothing” charitable initiative in cooperation with Tarahum Charity Foundation to distribute clothes to 1,500 needy families. The initiative reflects the spirit of love and giving in the Year of Tolerance, especially in holy occasions such as pilgrimage and Eid Al Adha.

Dubai Customs carried out 175 social and voluntary initiatives in 2018, and 30 ones in Q1 2019. During the last three years Dubai Customs launched 600 social corporate initiatives and attained 90% in society happiness. 


Dubai Customs has won a number of CSR awards, the last of which was the platinum award – CSR Leadership Category at the 11th Global CSR Summit and Award 2019 in Malaysia. The CSR Leadership award was given to Dubai Customs which has contributed to the promotion of all aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility, including the environment, sustainability, community partnerships, education and poverty elimination, to name but a few. To win this award, Dubai Customs beat 100 candidates shortlisted from a list of 400 applications from regional and global companies. 


The UAE has been ranked as the world’s largest donor of official development aid, relative to its national income.

According to data published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), development aid provided by the UAE between 2013-2017 reached more than Dhs 32 billion.
