
Dubai Customs is making special arrangements and preparations to receive pilgrims coming back from the Holy Land.
To serve the pilgrims faster, Dubai Customs increased the number of customs officers at the airports to 444 officers who will work around the clock to ensure easy and expedited traffic and that pilgrims have a happy experience. Total number of customs officers at the Passenger Operations Department is 718. There are 77 bag inspection devices in place; 58 devices work on bigger luggage and 19 devices for hand baggage.

“Dubai Customs has set up a work plan that will facilitate and simplify the customs routine without compromising the security side,” Ibrahim Al Kamali, Director of Passenger Operations Department said. “We have selected the officers who will organize the work shifts and make sure everything is easy for the pilgrims. There will be a dedicated path for pilgrims through which they can receive their luggage and stamp their passports fast.”
Al Kamali pointed out Dubai Customs has participated in the airports meeting which involved different entities and strategic partners who met to determine and address different challenges for this season.
