Dubai Customs held a honey exhibition, the first of its kind at Customs agencies level, to showcase a wide variety of honey products and make them known to the public.
Opened by Abdullah Al Khaja, executive director for Customer Management Division, the exhibit took place at Dubai Customs headquarters and was organized by the Land Customs Centers Management.

The participants at the fair displayed their products to raise the public’s awareness of the qualities and health benefits of natural honey. They demonstrated some techniques used to distinguish real, pure honey from fake, impure one, such as stickiness, thickness, taste, color, aroma and other properties.
The event witnessed large footfall of visitors who appreciated Dubai Customs efforts for allowing this opportunity to be more acquainted with the different types of honey available in local markets, their nutritional benefits and their price range.
“Dubai Customs is keen to facilitate and expedite the trade movement of foodstuffs including honey products to ensure they are cleared and released in no time, so that they arrive to consumers in best quality and safety conditions,” said Abdullah Al Khaja.
Raising public awareness of healthy food is part of our corporate social responsibility towards the community, he added.
“We always strive to help our clients reach out to consumers to increase their knowledge of genuine goods and products. The honey fair is part of this drive to enhance communication with our business partners trading in natural honey products, for the good of their trade and the community at large,” explained Al Khaja.
