His Excellency Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) rewarded Dubai Customs as the best department to have implemented the “One-day recruitment” initiative at the UAE Career Fair 2019. Farid Hassan Al Marzouqi, Executive Director, Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division received the award.
At the Fair, Dubai Customs offered 60 job vacancies and over the three days it received 2,090 applications. A total of 216 candidates were interviewed and 20 were shortlisted to the job including 2 people of determination (people of special needs). All of the candidates signed their contracts the same day.
Amir Abdul Raziq, Senior Recruitment Manager pointed out Dubai Customs’ stand at the grand event witnessed a heavy footfall from different visitors who came to learn more about the innovative work environment at the Department.
He said 80% of applicants were secondary education holders and 20% were university graduates, and 60% of applicants were female.
