Dubai Customs honors participants and sponsors of its activities in UAE 2nd Customs 2019

Dubai Customs concluded its activities at the UAE 2nd Customs Week 2019 with a closing ceremony, launched on 26th January in conjunction with the International Customs Day, to honor sponsors, partners and participants in the initiatives. The ceremony was attended by Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs along with a number of executive directors, managers of customs departments and centers, sponsors, partners and clients.

 

 

 

Dubai Customs organized more than 70 different activities, including 15 workshops, during the customs week. Around 4,500 clients, students, passengers, people of determination (special needs) and employees participated in the events which involved 16 customs departments and centers. Daily raffle draws were organized and 85 lucky winners received valuable prizes including cars and flight tickets.

In his speech, Musabih thanked all the participants in the UAE 2nd Customs Week, which took place this year under the theme “Smart Borders”.
 
 
 
 


 “The UAE 2nd Customs Day saw a positive turnout and active participation from different clients, employees and partners, and it aimed to enhance and deepen our partnerships in line with the 8 principles announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai” Musabih said.

 

 
 
One of the main highlights of the Customs Week was the National Project Fair, which was held with the participation of 30 national companies and through which Dubai Customs helped promote and support these projects.
“We also had many activities that address all segments of society including the organization of numerous visits to schools and universities to raise awareness among students” Musabih added.


Sponsors and partners as well as centers and departments that actively took part in the events were honoured. These included the Customs Development Division, Administrative Affairs Department, Clients Management Department, Jebel Ali Customs Center and Corporate Communication Department.
