Dubai Customs added an accolade to the many accreditations it has by attaining the ISO 20252:2012 international quality standard. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs received the certificate from Lamees Maraqa, Director of Global Business Bureau, and representative of German company TUV Inter CERT. with this standard, Dubai Customs raised its international certificates to 14 in different fields, including health and safety, CSR, IT, client satisfaction and innovative services.
The standard sets out requirements in a quality management system for organizations conducting market, opinion and social research.
Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs pointed out that it’s no stranger for Dubai Customs, within its quest for perfection, to attain such an achievement and reach this level.
“It’s part of our plans and strategies at Dubai Customs to develop customs work in the UAE and raise the department’s competitive status. This is why quality is a priority and a daily practice for us. We won this standard because we always apply quality measures and standards to all our operations, especially when it comes to studies, surveys and market research”.
Musabih added: “This reflects Dubai Customs’ commitment in materializing strategic Dubai Plan 2021 which is an integral part of the UAE’s vision and its national agenda.
Shamsa Raisi, Senior Manager of Strategic Planning Section at Dubai Customs expressed her happiness and pride that Dubai Customs gains this standard and pointed out the Department continually updates and develops their systems and programs to keep abreast with the latest advancements.
