Customs Knowledge Club at Dubai Customs kicked off the events of  Year of Zayed with a lecture titled “Zayed: The Exceptional Character” by Dr Adbullah bin Shamaa. The lecture is part of a series of events organized by Dubai Customs following the vision of the wise leadership of naming 2018 “The Year of Zayed”.
The lecture was attended by a number of executives and employees in Dubai Customs.
Dr Shamaa shed light on the charismatic character of the Late Sheikh Zayed and his essential role in founding the union. He also highlighted Sheikh Zayed’s support to the youth to enable them play a greater role in serving the UAE, and his role in helping other nations which helps the UAE top the world in many fields.

  
Dr Shaikha Al Ghafiri, director of Dubai Customs' Training Centre pointed out that events of Year of Zayed include a number of activities that cover three pillars: Highlighting different aspects of the personality of Sheikh Zayed and his distinctive achievements locally and globally. 
“Our plan includes lectures on Sheikh Zayed presented by local and international lecturers, cultural contests, heritage exhibitions, documentaries on Sheikh Zayed, etc. “said Al Ghafiri. 
On her part, Shaikha Masoud Al Ahbabi, Head of Dubai Customs Knowledge Club said that the lecture is part of a series of events that will shed more light on the exceptional character of Sheikh Zayed.
