Dubai Customs Delegation from Customs Training Center briefed on DEWA’s best practices in support to Emirati students 

 

 

 

 

A delegation from Dubai Customs Training Center Department visited DEWA on Tuesday, 13th of April, with the aim of learning about the best practices in support of UAE national high school graduates and excelling students.
 
Dubai Customs delegation included Dr. Sheikha Al Ghafri, Acting Director of Dubai Customs Training Center, Sami Kiswani, Senior Training Specialist and Sheikha Masoud, Training Specialist.
 “This visit comes in line with Dubai Customs keenness to boost partnership and better forge ties with local government entities, as well as to attract high school graduates to work with Dubai Customs,” said Al Ghafri.
 
 
Dubai Customs’ visiting delegation were introduced to DEWA’s main headhunting programs and their means of supporting university students in a bid to join DEWA’s cadre.
 
 
 
They also toured DEWA’s High School Academy which was established to ensure the proper theoretical and practical training and capacity building of UAE Nationals via a tailored scientific program covering electricity generation and distribution as well as water desalination. DC members were also introduced to DEWA’s digital library, which is accessible 24/7 by employees.
 
Dr. Sheikha Al Ghafri hailed DEWA’s training and capacity building programs targeting Emirati students and praised their role in encouraging innovation and creativity.
