Dubai Ladies Committee Receives a Delegation from the Statistics Centre − Abu Dhabi (SCAD)  

 

 

Dubai Customs Ladies Committee received a delegation from the Statistics Centre − Abu Dhabi (SCAD). The visit was aimed at exploring the best practices implemented by the DC’s Ladies Committee as well as to overview its initiatives, programs and events.
The Head of DC Ladies Committee Maryam Khalifa Al Shamsi expressed her happiness for SCAD’s women delegation visit while highlighting the keenness of Dubai Customs on developing the capacities of female employees via innovation and positive interaction. Al Shamsi also pointed out that DC approach towards working women is geared up towards achieving their happiness at work, which in turn  reflects positively on their family and the community at large.
Fatma Al Zaabi, Government Partnership Senior Officer at DC, delivered a presentation highlighting the  goals of DC Ladies Committee, as well as the  mechanisms employed for endorsing  the spiritual, cultural and societal status of working women and the efforts exerted towards nurturing them in a personal level to become  even more involved in building up the civilization and leveraging Dubai Customs’ status in vocational, educational, health, sports, economy and trade fields.
 
 
Al Zaabi also underlined Dubai Customs ‘ efforts in establishing a discussion forum to exchange views on fundamental issues that would lead the way for innovative solutions. This kind of positive interaction boosts the spirit of friendship and consensus amongst  women staff within DC , and in the larger circle of women outward by publishing  research and studies which would aid in the development of women’s role here and in the broader community.
The Government Partnership Senior Officer also explained the Committee’s role in providing women with guidance and awareness means to achieve the optimal balance in  maintaining the best interest of their domestic affairs  on the one hand, while leveraging their career paths on the other.
At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation was introduced to the Ladies Committee’s events plan of 2016, a series of previous initiatives and events and the know-how on staging them up.
On her part, Mrs. Badria Abdulla, Executive Director of Data Division at the Statistics Centre − Abu Dhabi (SCAD) hailed the hands-on experience witnessed at  DC’s Ladies Committee.
