DC Customs Cases Department exploring working mechanism at the Investigation Department of GDRFA – Dubai
A Delegation from the Customs Cases Department a Dubai Customs visited the investigation Department at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai, in order to explore the best practices in handling cases and investigations as well as in their implemented work mechanisms.
The visit was coordinated by the Government Partnership Section of the Corporate Communication Department at Dubai Customs, with a delegation comprising Taha Al Suwaidi, Director of Customs Cases and Investigation Department, Saif Bakhit Al Jumairi, Investigation Director at the Air Customs Zone, Ahmed Fadhil Al Flasi, Investigation Team Leader at Air Customs Zone, Mohammad Khalifa Ibrahim, Investigation Team Leader at Sea Customs Zone, and Mohammad Al Muhairi, Investigation Team Leader at Land Customs Zone. The visiting delegation was received by Major Obaid Mohammad Al Suwaidi, Director of Investigation Department and along with a host of officers at GDRFA premises.
Dubai Customs delegation were briefed on the mission and vision of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, in addition to the work strategy within the Investigation Department and their daily workflow. Moreover, the delegation were also briefed on the training programs organized by the ‘Training and Travelling Documents Examination Center’ to employees working at the Investigation Department.
On the other hand, Taha Al Suwaidi delivered a presentation on work mechanisms of the Customs Cases and Investigation Department at DC, he also highlighted the training courses delivered by Dubai Customs Training Center.
Upon the end of the meeting day, Major Obaid Mohammad Al Suwaidi escorted DC delegation into a field tour within the various sections of the Investigation Department to physically observe the actual routine of their streamlined services.
At the end of the visit, Dubai Customs delegation expressed their appreciation to the host for the warm welcoming and also expressed their admiration for the quality of information they were abreast with.
