Dubai Customs briefs a delegation from the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation about the procedures of projects and programs management
The Executive Director of Customs Development Division, Juma Al Ghaith, hosted a delegation from the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, headed by Mohammed Al Shehhi, Project Controls and Support Manager, accompanied by Jamal Sahnawi, Capacity Building Expert, Ahmed Al Katheri, Project Management Office Expert, and Awatif Al Saiari, Project Manager. The visit was with the aim to conduct a benchmark pertaining the projects and programs management practices at Dubai Customs.
Al Ghaith presented the delegation with a detailed overview on the DC’s adopted projects management methodology, with main focus upon its special features and the successes achieved by the DC’s accomplished projects due to the fine application of the same.
The meeting was highly viable and rich in two-way discussions, while the visiting delegation inquired upon the core elements used within the projects management methodology, such of the scientific references, conformity certificates and efficiency measurement models in order to attain the optimal advantage of the material presented at their hands.
Ahmad Al Yaqoobi, Head of Project Delivery at Dubai Customs, provided the needed answers for these inquiries. Meanwhile, Yousef Musabih covered the parts related to the Projects Management Office and elaborated on its role in providing the needed support for projects and programs managers and in ensuring the projects’ work flow adherence to the DC’s accredited methodologies.
At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation expressed their deep appreciation for Dubai Customs cooperation and fruitful interaction. They also hailed the Department’s stronghold position as a benchmark platform.
